Matt Gunther is a director and photographer, born and raised in New York City where he is currently based. Gunther’s portraits and documentary projects reveal his subject’s compassion and vulnerability, while providing a strong narrative. Gunther holds a BFA from SUNY Purchase.

Gunther’s editorial work has been featured national and international publications, including The New York Times, Wired, London Sunday Times and GQ. Commercial clients include Nike, Reebok, American Express, MSNBC and BMW. Gunther’s work is in the permanent collection of the Brooklyn m\Museum and the Palais De Toyko in Paria and has been slected in American Photography, PDN and communication Arts, to name a few.
